The Way you Left Me

This painting is called, The Magician by Amanda Dalmas.

The way you left me.

The way you Left Me.
The way You made me feel.
These are two totally different things.
You left me like an adult.
You made me feel Complicated.
One big Cluster Fuck of Emotions.
One big ecstasy of nothingness.
Your fingers had a glacier effect on my heart,
As you raked them across.
Leaving gashes and holes….as they retreated.
My heart looks like the Finger Lakes.

And only then…did I beg for more.
And even though your heart to her you pledged…
I caught you flirting with me.
And so did she.
All those wasted years we did the dance.
Back and forth, then to nothing.
In the end you actually saved my life twice…
If you count the dream world….too many to count.
But equally you have cursed me, and you were nastily indifferent.
The dualistic nature of this hate/love affair is very perplexing to me.

I have a few books published on Amazon. My newest book is called, “The Firestorm of Tears.”
