A Contest with Prizes.
This prompt and contest is for The Rebel Poet’s Society Writers only. But if you would like to write for us, write and publish on your own page a response to this prompt. And then respond below and grab my attention and I will ck it out when I have time.
I’m not a huge fan of prompts, but I see that it helps with inspiration purposes. So, I’d like to sweeten the deal. I’m going to offer 2 prompts a month. Every time you win a writing prompt, I will put your name in a hat. After about three months (so about December), I will pull a winner out of the hat and I will pay for advertising on the Rebel Poet’s Facebook page, up to the value of $10.00. So I will pay for the advertising on Facebook for your winning writing.
I will post the prompts in this newsletter and as a post on the Rebel Poet’s Publication, under the section Rebel Poems. If you wish to participate in the prompt, simply put “A Rebel’s Prompt, Letting Go,” underneath the title to your piece. So I know that the submitted piece is for the prompt. The deadline will be posted in each prompt newsletter and writing as well.
So, let’s get to work! The first “A Rebel’s Prompt” subject will be about:
Letting Go! Letting go of bad ideas, people, places, things, and morals. Live and Let go are things to ponder on this challenge. What if a fire happened in your home tonight and all of your possessions were burnt up? How would you fair with letting go of what was left of your stuff? If you had to throw away what was left because it was ruined by the fire as well. This is just an example and does NOT have to be the subject matter of your writing. The actual challenge is “Letting Go.”
The writing could be a poem, story, fiction, non-fiction, ramble, essay, journal entry, or a letter styled writing. The length maximum is 1000/1500 max words. I’m not fond of two-line poems either, so please add some length to what you write but not too long either that it loses context.
This prompt starts today Oct 4th, 2020, and the deadline is Thursday,
October 15th, 2020 at midnight. So that I can announce the winner of this prompt on Friday the 16th. I will announce as a writing in the Rebel Poems section of our site and by newsletter as well.
The winner of the “Letting Go” prompt will get their name and writing put into the hat for the paid advertising. Good LUCK!!!!!
